Frequently asked questions

  • My rate is $175 for a standard 45-55 minute session.

  • I do offer a limited number of reduced fee spots. Please reach out if you feel as though you can’t afford my full fee and we can try and make something work. If a reduced fee is used, you will not be eligible to submit for any insurance reimbursement.

  • If clients need to miss a session, I ask that they reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee. This is in place because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.

  • At this time, I’m only offering virtual sessions. Over the past few years, I feel I have been able to help many clients virtually. Clients seem to appreciate the convenience of telehealth… it saves them time and energy without a commute or having to deal with traffic/inclement weather. It also eliminates barriers for clients who don’t have access to transportation or who live in a different part of the state.

  • I don’t, but I can certainly provide community referrals! I believe as humans there’s a finite number of things we are good at and have the training and resources to do well. For me, I feel I best serve adults.

  • I don’t, but I can certainly provide community referrals! I believe as humans there’s a finite number of things we are good at and have the training and resources to do well. For me, I feel I best serve my clients when I’m working with them one-on-one.

  • I recommend weekly sessions for a minimum of 6 weeks so you can get lots of support and we can build a strong therapeutic relationship. We can then have an open dialogue about reducing the frequency of sessions if we both feel as though there’s been progress towards your goals. I will certainly provide recommendations and guidance along the way.

  • It depends... I’ve had clients who feel their goals have been met after a year and others who continue long-term for years for ongoing support.

Therapy is a process, so it will take some patience, consistency, and commitment on your end. Time between our sessions are just as important as during our sessions. I really encourage my clients to take brief notes after our sessions to refer back to and jot down anything that comes up in between sessions as well.

  • To schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation with me, click on the Contact header at the top of the page and complete the form. I’ll be in touch to set something up!

During the call, we’ll discuss what you’re looking to get out of therapy and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the process. We’ll then talk about next steps if you’d like to move forward. Basically, you’ll receive a link via email to sign up with SimplePractice, which is the Electronic Health Record (EHR) I use to meet with clients virtually and write clinical notes. There will be some forms for you to read and sign and a few questionnaires. This is to get some of the nitty gritty questions out of the way ahead of time so we can jump right in.

I tried to simplify the process for my clients as much as possible, so everything you need will be automatically sent to you or easily accessible right SimplePractice’s Client Portal.
